Addressing and Structuring a QMS focused on NTC ISO 9001: 2015, for the company Droguería Salud Vital located in the city of Bogotá - Colombia.
Salud vital is an organization constituted in July 2014, located in the south east of the city of Bogotá and corresponds to a drugstore dedicated to the sale and marketing of prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, an injection service, collection service and billing for banking services.
This drugstore has participated in a total of four tenders from the public and private sectors for the supply of medicines from the pharmaceutical services of hospitals, IPS and EPS nationwide; however, the scores received have not been sufficient to win the tender and obtain a contract.
The tenders conducted by public and private entities for the supply of medicines evaluate whether the drugstore meets the quality standards necessary for the supply of medicines to hospitals, IPS and EPS.
The evaluation carried out by both public and private entities corresponds to a score that measures whether the drugstore meets the quality standards that guarantee compliance with the needs of the tender, the possible reason why this company has failed to obtain any of the The tenders are due to the lack of implementation of a quality management system, which triggers a lack of competitiveness in the market. According to the expertise obtained in the 4 tenders, it has been shown that companies that have NTC ISO 9001: 2008 certification have a competitive advantage over companies that do not.
The implementation of the quality management system allows continuous improvement of the activity and processes that make up the organization, it brings benefits at the level of effectiveness, efficiency and performance of its operations to meet the needs and expectations of the customer.
