The work begins by addressing the concept of sacramental secrecy, highlighting its purpose, followed by the analysis of the sacrament of penance, and penance itself. Based on a brief history of secrecy, we proceed to compare and analyze the protection of professional secrecy and the confidentiality of confession, and the judicial contrast derived from such protection. Given the subject of study, it is necessary to present the legal framework on the prevalence of children's rights, their protection, and the mechanisms that exist to protect infants, thus allowing reflection on crimes committed against infants and the possibility of breaking the law. sacramental secrecy given the primacy of children's rights.
