Resumen
The objective of this study is to understand the narratives that second and third semester students of the Santo Tomás de Villavicencio University build about the individuation process in their transition to university, it is developed from a qualitative approach that allows interpreting and understanding the experiences and experiences that the participants have had in the process of their individuation, taking into account the theory of Social Constructionism that has a strong scientific argument against narratives. Therefore, the complexity paradigm is approached, which is not limited or reduced to a single aspect and is not explained in a linear way (cause-effect); The in-depth interview technique was used that allows a broader conception of what happens in the lives of the participants, in the same way, inclusion criteria were carried out: that they belong to the Santo Tomás University, that they belong to the Program Psychology, who are studying levels II and III, who are between 16 and 19 years old, who live with their parents, who have attended the first semester face-to-face; In this study, it is concluded that it was possible to identify in the discussion of results of this research beginning from the fact that the process (individuation) in each of the three participants could be identified to such an extent that it was possible to see how fundamental factors of individuation such as autonomy, self differentiation, the ability to deal with emotional problems, adaptation to a new environment and situations that require personal strategies; and that, in turn, have been managing to satisfy the need for differentiation, although the three participants have a marked extent to see the progress of this process depending on the conditions provided by their family contexts.
