| dc.description.abstract | Two years ago, the process of replacing animal-drawn vehicles in the city of Bogotá began. It had two objectives: to dignify the work of the carters and to put an end to the mistreatment to which these horses were subjected. However, there are some carters who have not been part of the census and have their beasts stored somewhere in the city. What will be the balance of this initiative as of November 2014? On January 1, 2014, the decree of no transit of carts in the city of Bogota came into force and, although 2,891 have their vehicles today, there is a figure of more than 900 carters who were left out of the census. Now the question is: What do these carters who were not included in the census do, if their main activity was interrupted by a decree that went into effect approximately 10 months ago? | |
