dc.description.abstractOsteonecrosis or avascular necrosis is a disease characterized by weakening of the epiphysis of the long bones, being caused by the temporary or permanent loss of blood supply [1]. It generates the bone tissue dies and loss of bone structure, inducing the appearance of subchondral fracture [1][2]. Osteonecrosis is classified in stages, depending of the degree of evolution and typically develops in patients between 30 and 40 years old for multifactorial causes as the appearance of idiopathic form, excessive consumption of alcohol or the use of intravenous steroids
