The main objective of this research work was to analyze the social imaginaries that emerged from the speeches of the teachers of the Santo Tomas University, who carried out practices in the SAP Psychological Attention Service, through telepsychology in the Colombian context, at the beginning of confinement I- 2020 due to the arrival of COVID 19, in order to observe which elements of the regulations (contextual, technological, security, among others) were present in the telepsychological exercise of the teachers and which were not, thus accounting for the challenges , limitations and benefits that the pandemic has brought with it. Therefore, 6 semi-structured interviews and a focus group were conducted, on which the imaginaries were analyzed through two main lines of inquiry (imaginaries and telepsychology), thus deriving eight emerging categories (flexibility in psychological care, negative notion of psychological care virtual, therapist's work for adequate psychological care, protection of sensitive information of the consultant in virtual care, promoting care for the therapist's health, central elements in the therapeutic relationship, challenges of virtual care, positive aspects and promoters of the use of telepsychology), it is important to mention that conceptual categories were not used, since this type of categories alluded to the theoretical origin, while the emerging categories arose from the imaginaries of the masters against the use of telepsychology. telepsychology mentioned in the interviews. Among the main findings, it was found how the regulations and guidelines do not adapt to the national context, the importance of regulating telepsychology in the country, as well as the change in the imaginaries of the teachers after using telepsychology
