| dc.description | Recursos midiáticos representam uma tecnologia de gênero poderosa na sociedade ocidental atual, expondo
constantemente representações sociais diferenciadas para homens e mulheres. Tendo em vista que os desenhos de
animação veiculados para crianças estabelecem um dos primeiros contatos com estes recursos, o presente estudo
pretendeu identificar os estereótipos e valores de gênero que atravessam quatro filmes de animação de Walt Disney:
“Cinderela”, “A Bela e a Fera”, “A Pequena Sereia” e “Mulan”. Foram analisadas tanto as cenas como as músicas
presentes nestes desenhos. A análise aponta para a representação, reafirmação e (re)construção do dispositivo amoroso

| dc.description | Media resources represent a powerful technology of genre in current Western society, constantly exposing
differentiated social representations of men and women. Considering that animation movies are one of the first
contacts children make with these resources, the present study proposed to identify gender stereotypes and values that
cross four Walt Disney animation films: “Cinderella”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Little Mermaid”, and “Mulan”. In
this study, both scenes as well as songs from these films were analyzed. The results point to the representation,
reaffirmation and (re) construction of the love device as the privileged road to women’s subjectivation. | |
