Epidemiologia de las lesiones deportivas en deportes individuales y grupales del departamento del Cesar

The usual practice of physical exercise or some sport at a moderate or high intensity confers clear and objective benefits in different health indicators, but when it becomes evident a sports injury can generate some alterations in terms of quality of life and change of habits. This research was carried out with the objective of determining the epidemiological profile of injuries in high performance athletes of the individual and group disciplines of the city of Valledupar. Descriptive cross-sectional research carried out in primary source through the registration of 130 medical records of athletes from the city of Valledupar who developed sports injuries in 2017-2018, who were treated at the Cesar biomedical center, the data taken from the history clinic were related to age, sex, place of origin, diagnosis, training time, among others. The descriptive analysis that allowed to identify that the average age of the athletes is 21 years, the most frequent injuries are: ankle sprain, patellar tendinopathy and meniscopathy, the sports with the highest number of injuries were in their order: football, basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, skating and athletics. Injuries in athletes are associated with sociocultural factors that determine training conditions that can vary according to conceptions of each place. La práctica habitual de ejercicio físico o de algún deporte a una intensidad moderada o alta confiere beneficios claros y objetivables en diferentes indicadores de salud, pero cuando se hace evidente una lesión deportiva puede generar algunas alteraciones en materia de calidad de vida y cambio de hábitos. Esta investigación se desarrolló con el Objetivo de determinar el perfil epidemiológico de las lesiones en deportistas de alto rendimiento de las disciplinas individuales y grupales de la ciudad de Valledupar. Investigación descriptiva de corte transversal realizada en fuente primaria a través del registro de 130 historias clínicas de deportistas de la ciudad de Valledupar que desarrollaron lesiones deportivas en el año 2017-2018, que fueron atendidos en centro biomédico del Cesar, los datos tomados de la historia clínica estaban relacionados con edad, sexo, lugar de procedencia, diagnostico, tiempo de entrenamiento, entre otras. El análisis descriptivo que permitió identificar que la edad promedio de los deportistas es de 21 años, las lesiones más frecuentes son: esquince de tobillo, tendinopatía rotuliana y meniscopatía, los deportes con mayor número de lesiones fueron en su orden: futbol, baloncesto, voleibol, taekwondo, patinaje y atletismo. Las lesiones en deportistas están asociadas a factores socioculturales que determinan unas condiciones de entrenamiento que pueden variar de acuerdo concepciones propias de cada lugar.
