Desarrollo de Habilidades Investigativas Mediante Google Earth en el Área de Ciencias Sociales en Estudiantes de 7°

Abstract

Esta investigación se desarrolló a partir de docentes y estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Técnica Agropecuaria de Puerto Venecia-Bolívar, sede principal, obteniéndose aún en plena pandemia de COVID 19, una óptima integración de las TIC entre Ciencias Sociales (Geografía) y Tecnología e Informática mediante un proyecto transversal sobre el diseño de una ruta ecoturística en la comunidad de Puerto Venecia, con el propósito de evaluar el desarrollo de algunas competencias planteadas en los Estándares Nacionales de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC) para estudiantes (NETS-S), por la Sociedad Internacional para la Tecnología en Educación - ISTE, en este caso particular de 7°. La idea del presente estudio fue motivar a los estudiantes a manejar nuevos recursos tecnológicos, fomentando el desarrollo de competencias TIC y la construcción de conocimiento, mediados por el autoaprendizaje y el aprendizaje colaborativo; guiándolos a proyectarse como individuos competentes digitalmente, que a su vez contribuían a desarrollar y fortalecer en los mismos, habilidades investigativas, en la medida que realizaban las actividades planteadas en las guías de didácticas de aprendizaje. Se aplicó enfoque cualitativo, recolectándose información por medio de cuestionarios que representaban encuestas; luego, por medio de observación participación a los estudiantes seleccionados por muestreo no probabilístico, intencional, se analizó minuciosamente la evolución del desempeño en las habilidades investigativas tecnológicas planteadas desde las directrices de la ISTE. Los resultados muestran que los participantes desarrollaron paulatinamente competencias TIC y habilidades investigativas utilizando recursos tecnológicos innovadores con nuevas y atractivas formas de construir conocimiento basadas en el constructivismo. Entre los aportes, brinda bases sólidas para docentes de todas las áreas del saber interesados en fortalecer en sus estudiantes habilidades investigativas a partir del desarrollo de competencias TIC (NETS-S), integrando novedosos recursos y herramientas digitales en sus clases

This research was developed from teachers and students of the Agricultural Technical Educational Institution of Puerto Venecia-Bolívar, headquarters, obtaining, even in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic, an optimal integration of ICT between Social Sciences (Geography) and Technology and Informatics through a cross-sectional project on the design of an ecotourism route in the community of Puerto Venecia, with the purpose of evaluating the development of some competencies raised in the National Standards of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for students (NETS-S), by the International Society for Technology in Education - ISTE, in this particular case 7 °. The idea of this study was to motivate students to manage new technological resources, promoting the development of ICT skills and the construction of knowledge, mediated by self-learning and collaborative learning; guiding them to project themselves as digitally competent individuals, who in turn contributed to develop and strengthen investigative skills in them, as they carried out the activities proposed in the learning didactic guides. A qualitative approach was applied, collecting information through questionnaires that represented surveys; then, by means of observation of the participation of the students selected by nonprobabilistic, intentional sampling, the evolution of performance in technological research skills proposed from the ISTE guidelines was carefully analyzed. The results show that the participants gradually developed ICT skills and research skills using innovative technological resources with new and attractive ways of building knowledge based on constructivism. Among the contributions, it provides solid foundations for teachers from all areas of knowledge interested in strengthening their students' investigative skills from the development of ICT skills (NETS-S), integrating innovative resources and digital tools in their class.
