Relación entre estilos de crianza y conductas disruptivas en niños de tres a cinco años

Abstract

Various investigations indicate the importance of exercising a favorable parenting style for the infant's social, emotional and affective development. This study aims to identify the relationship between parenting style and disruptive behaviors in children between 3 and 5 years old from a kindergarten in the city of Bogotá. A correlational descriptive research design was used with 92 parents and children. The instruments applied were: Parenting Inventory (PCRI), Child Behavior Inventory for children between 1 1/2 - 5 years old (CBCL 1/5 - 5), Skills and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) and the Conners Scale. Moderate negative relationships were found between the variables Support, Satisfaction with parenting, Discipline and Autonomy with behavioral problems, internalizing and externalizing disorders. The scope and limitations of the investigation are discussed.

Diversas investigaciones señalan la importancia de ejercer un estilo de crianza favorable para el desarrollo social, emocional y afectivo del infante. Este estudio pretende identificar la relación existente entre el estilo de crianza y las conductas disruptivas en niños entre los 3 y 5 años de edad de un jardín infantil de la ciudad de Bogotá. Se usó un diseño de investigación descriptivo correlacional con 92 padres de familia y sus hijos. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron: Inventario de Crianza Parental (PCRI), Inventario de Conductas Infantiles para niños de entre 1 1/2 - 5 años (CBCL 1/5 – 5), Cuestionario de Capacidades y Dificultades (SDQ) y la Escala de Conners. Se encontraton relaciones negativas moderadas entre las variables Apoyo, Satisfacción con la Crianza, Disciplina y Autonomía con problemas de conducta, trastornos internalizantes y externalizantes. Se discuten los alcances y limitaciones de la investigación.
