Percepción de los pacientes sobre los comportamientos del cuidado humanizado de enfermería en el servicio de urgencias adultos del Hospital de San José

Abstract

Objetivo: Describir la percepción de los pacientes sobre los comportamientos del cuidado humanizado de enfermería en el servicio de urgencias adultos del Hospital de San José. Método: Estudio primario, cuantitativo, observacional, descriptivo de corte transversal, realizado en el periodo de pasantías del mes de diciembre de 2018. Con una muestra de 161 pacientes hospitalizados, se evaluó la percepción de cuidado humanizado de enfermería, mediante la implementación del instrumento PCHE (Percepción de los comportamientos de cuidado humanizado de enfermería). Resultados: Se incluyeron en total 161 pacientes, según las características sociodemográficas la edad promedio fue de 54,7 años (DE ± 21,5 años); la mayoría mujeres (54,7%), de estratos 2 y 3 (73,2%) y con estudios secundarios al (39%). La mayoría de los pacientes (42.9) se encontraban en el área de hidratación 2 y estaban afiliados a la empresa promotora de salud Medimas (58.39%). No obstante a que el porcentaje de humanización en el servicio se mantiene entre un 88% o más de forma general, hay algunas excepciones como lo son los ítems número 5,6,12,15,22 y 25 en donde se evidencia que existen conductas y comportamientos del personal principalmente en la comunicación asertiva y el tiempo requerido para la atención del individuo; a pesar de que dichas conductas no tienen un porcentaje menor al 80%, aún necesitan ser reforzados para llegar y mantener un cuidado humanizado.
