The article presents the improvement for the collection procedures and preparation of soil samples and other weathering materials with the objective of accomplishing micromorphologic studies. The methodology for collecting core samples, in the micromonoliths form, is improved through the employment of tools and simple recipients of easy handling. The methodology of preparation of samples is improved through the employment of vacuum chamber of easy construction and handling, facilitating the simultaneous impregnation of dozens micromonoliths. The presented proposal reduces the time and the necessary resouces for making thin and polished soil sections.
