dc.description.abstractPor medio de un estudio etnográfico virtual y un acercamiento auto-etnográfico, examino la construcción de subjetividades dentro del capitalismo contemporáneo en comunidades y redes de apuestas deportivas en línea hispanohablantes en Colombia, México y España . Para ello, se presentan relatos, narrativas e interacciones virtuales donde reflejo los múltiples registros afectivos detrás de las apuestas deportivas. Las apuestas son un lugar para ver la manera cómo funcionan dispositivos afectivos dentro de economías de la especulación, me propongo mostrar, a través del seguimiento de personas expertas en apuestas o tipsters, las múltiples maneras en las que los apostadores se introducen dentro de lógicas capitalistas para predecir rendimientos deportivos a través de técnicas predictivas en las que surgen subjetividades individuales y/o colectivas. Las categorías de valor, trabajo y precariedad que emergen en esta exploración me ayudan a poner en evidencia cómo la mitigación del riesgo, a través de nociones de objetividad y dispositivos estadísticos, determinan la forma en la que se predice el futuro en medio de un panorama de precariedad, incertidumbre y aspiración por un estilo de vida. Esto me permite exponer a las transacciones del capitalismo contemporáneo como sitios de constante manipulación, contradicción, negociación e improvisación informados por múltiples registros de afectos, conocimientos y valores. Lo anterior, me lleva a analizar las dinámicas de limitación y engaños que conducen a la improvisación, la precariedad, la decepción y la impotencia. En suma, esta investigación muestra que las subjetividades en el capitalismo se construyen de manera diversa, creativa y dinámica ante las condiciones sociales del sistema social y económico.
