dc.description.abstract | En este documento se propone una metodología basada en las herramientas Twine, Unity3D y AltSpaceVR. Esta metodología busca dar soporte al uso del Diseño Centrado en el Usuario (UCD) en el prototipado rápido de simuladores en realidad virtual (RV). De esta manera, se busca aportar para disminuir los desafíos que presentan los equipos en la creación de simuladores en RV, y facilitar la construcción de los mismos, tanto para personas con experiencia, como para los entry-level o principiantes. Para ello, describimos la metodología enmarcada en las etapas de UCD, en tres posibles iteraciones con una serie de actividades en cada una. Dichas actividades describen el uso de las herramientas AltSpaceVR, Twine y Unity3D, para comunicar los roles, generar artefactos integradores (como sketches, grafos y escenarios 3D) y lograr la construcción de prototipos. Adicionalmente, describimos la creación de un plugin para Unity3D, llamado Tweenity. Dicho plugin permite integrar las 3 herramientas, da soporte a la metodología y brinda una serie de funcionalidades para facilitar la creación de los simuladores en RV.
Se presentan los estudios de evaluación de la metodología y el plugin, que consistieron en dos pruebas diferentes. En primer lugar, un estudio piloto con estudiantes de un curso universitario sobre desarrollo de aplicaciones de realidad mixta. En segundo lugar, un estudio con equipos multidisciplinarios en el marco de un evento estilo Jam. A partir de dichas pruebas, encontramos resultados favorables en la usabilidad de las herramientas (incluyendo el plugin), se encontró que permite realizar prototipos funcionales en 1 mes, los artefactos propuestos (grafos) facilitan la comunicación entre roles y la construcción del prototipo. Además, se encontraron posibles mejoras para el plugin integrador y extensiones para la evaluación de aprendizaje. | |
