Sensaciones vicarias

Abstract

El conflicto armado colombiano ha atravesado y afectado de alguna manera u otra a la población civil de este país. No obstante, a lo largo de mi vida, siempre consideré que mi día a día nunca se había visto permeado por la guerra. Sin embargo, en un intento por entender el conflicto armado colombiano y plasmarlo a través del arte, resurgieron ciertas memorias y sensaciones de mi infancia. Una infancia alejada de esa guerra, pero que resultó no ser tan indiferente como yo pensaba. Así, a través del carboncillo, procuré interpretar, y representar las sensaciones que en algún momento de mi vida me suscitó ese conflicto. Ese que alcanzaba a captar mediante las noticias, la radio y lo que decían los adultos a mi alrededor.

The Colombian armed conflict has affected in some way or another the civilian population of this country. However, throughout my life, I always considered that my day to day had never been affected, nor permeated by this war. Nevertheless, in an attempt to understand the Colombian armed conflict and represent it through art, certain memories and feelings of my childhood resurfaced. A childhood remote from that war, but not as indifferent as I thought it was. Thus, through drawing with charcoal, I tried to interpret, and represent some memories and sensations from my childhood provoked by the Colombian conflict. The one that I managed to capture through the news, the radio and what the adults around me said.
