Establecimiento de la relación terapéutica con cuidadores como una variable asociada al cambio terapéutico en niños (as) entre los 6 y los 11 años

Abstract

El trabajo psicoterapéutico con niños y adolescentes no puede darse de manera aislada a su entorno más próximo: sus cuidadores. Son los cuidadores quienes usualmente presentan el motivo de consulta, posibilitan el acceso a la terapia y quienes, generalmente, deben cambiar sus dinámicas para que el paciente (niño) tenga cambios. Al conceptualizar la intervención terapéutica en niños, considerando el papel importante de sus cuidadores, es importante hablar de dos conceptos fundamentales: relación y cambio terapéutico, categorías que se han abordado ampliamente desde la investigación, sin embargo, como categorías unidas se encuentra menos evidencia relacionada a la práctica clínica con niños y su conexión con cuidadores. El presente artículo tiene la finalidad de conceptualizar la relación terapéutica con cuidadores como una variable asociada al cambio terapéutico en niños (as) entre los 6 y los 11 años. Abstrac: Psychotherapeutic work with children and adolescents cannot be done in isolation from their closest environment: their caregivers. It is the caregivers who usually present the reason for consultation, who allow access to therapy and who, generally, must change their dynamics so that the patient (child) has changes. When conceptualizing therapeutic intervention in children, considering the important role of their caregivers, it is important to talk about two fundamental concepts: relationship and therapeutic change, concepts that have been widely approached from research, but have been little investigated from clinical practice with children and your connection with caregivers. This article aims to conceptualize the therapeutic relationship with caregivers as a variable associated with therapeutic change in children between 6 and 11 years old.
