El papel de los hermanos frente a la homosexualidad en la dinámica familiar

Abstract

Las relaciones entre hermanos son de las más largas de la vida, en ellas se comparten diversos momentos críticos del desarrollo, propiciando la construcción de sentidos dentro de la familia en relación a la diversidad sexual. La investigación de la cual se deriva este artículo, apunta a describir las perspectivas asumidas por los hermanos frente a la diversidad sexual de otro hermano. Metodología de corte biográfico – narrativo, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y grupos focales. Entre los resultados se encuentra dos posturas de los hermanos que se mueven en un continuo: desde la aceptación que incluso facilita la aceptación de otros miembros de la familia; hasta otras perspectivas que pese a no manifestar abiertamente rechazo, muestran temor o indiferencia hacia el tema. Relationships between siblings can be one of the longest in life, these involve the sharing of development’s turning points, making of purposes and roles, that mediate the acceptance or rejection of human manifestations as the sexual diversity. The research aims to outline the standpoints that siblings assume to another with regard to the sexual diversity. The information was extracted through the analysis of narratives from sexually diverse young persons and their siblings. There were found siblings standpoints that made the diverse person feel accepted and, sometimes made it easier for other family members to accept the sexual diversity; other perspectives displayed fear or indifference towards the diverse person even though it didn’t displayed rejection
