Abstract

This paper presents an external and internal diagnostics of the animal health sector in the city of Pereira from the implementation of the EFE and EFI matrices, where the key success factors for the industry are identified, then the relevant strategies involved and consequent to the completion of the SWOT matrix. This model was implemented strategic direction based mainly on the theories and methodologies proposed by authors Michael Porter and Humberto Serna. This model was routed to the company Vital Pet SAS, a company belonging to the animal health subsector, where its principal activity is the provision of service pre-hospital care at home for pets, specifically dogs and cats that are affiliated to the company and are located within the coverage area.
