dc.description.abstractThis article is the product of an exercise of formative research in the context of the Especialización en Pedagogía y Desarrollo Humano at the Universidad Católica of Pereira. . We were Interested in socio-cultural approach to discourse analysis of some teachers who realize what they say and do in the classroom; to get the meanings from the participants convey in the interviews, which are not strictly linguistic analysis or conversation analysis is performed in the classroom, which may become future-route; discourse analysis in this case refers to the analysis of the content of their proposals collected in semi-structured interviews. thus, this exercise seeks to highlight the views of teachers, to understand whether in this particular context of basic education, still dominate the routes that said the school will come to learn the conventionality of reading, or already generated more genuine conditions in which today's readers enter the world of the most authentic culture, so the categories are contrasted: the teaching of reading as a habit or as a citizen right.
