dc.description.abstractEconomic growth is one of the most relevant issues in economic theory and from the concerns of the Group's Research Program Economics of UCPR terms, using the theory of endogenous growth that highlights the importance in the accumulation of human capital, to estimate their impact on GDP of the municipality of Pereira in the period 2000 to 2006, were discriminating the human capital of the physicist, on the first proxy of the average years of schooling in the population, and second, the investment net, both series were reconstructed based on information provided by DANE and estimated from a Cobb-Douglas type, highlighting the positive impact generated by human capital on economic growth in the municipality.
