Consejería cristiana para el tratamiento de traumas : su ética e impacto en la vida del creyente

Abstract

This thesis evaluates the ethics of Christian-centred Trauma Counselling and its impact on the lives of believers in an evangelical Christian church in Medellin who received this counselling. This is done within a theoretical framework that encompasses Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (in accordance with ICD10 and DSM-V), the ethics of França-Tarrago’s psychological, and Christian ethics, drawing on the perspectives of Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The study used a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews with ten participants: five Christian clients who received the counselling, and five Christian counsellors who provided the counselling
