Resumen
In the field of music education, specifically in the instrumental teaching, it is very important to have an appropriate technical foundation to learn how to play an instrument in an optimal way. However, technique is just an aspect of pedagogy and musical interpretation. In the clarinet sphere, the catalog of methodological and pedagogical material is vast for the different stages of the process, and although the characteristics of these are diverse, it is important to point out methods that don't limit themselves to develop technical abilities, but encompass and propose a parallel approach in both stylistic and interpretative aspects. In the present paper, with the aim to evenly develop musical abilities (technical and interpretative) and personal qualities (holistic development) from the teacher's perspective, a method in particular was chosen that focuses on the early stages of learning, written by Avraham Galper, and its effectiveness was documented and analyzed on virtual lessons with students between the ages of 12 and 17 years old, as well as other teachers' experiences. Under the principles of the action research, and the theoretical-practical foundations with roots in psychology, musical pedagogy and other fields of knowledge, a series of didactical principals and strategies are proposed for clarinet teaching in the early stages, as well as addressing other aspects as the importance of choosing materials, planning and being capable of going beyond the musical method through the embedding of knowledge, reflection and musical didactics in the learning-teaching process.
