Abstract

The aim of this article is to show and analyze “Dos piezas para guitarra en el espíritu popular colombiano” as a part of the repertoire for guitar by Blas Emilio Atehortúa. In order to achieve it, this article starts with a description of the life and work of the composer and a brief description of the rhythms included in his piece. Moreover, to get a proper understanding of the work, a series of comments and suggestions by the composer and the interpreter of this article are given.
