The efficiency of any cattle herd depends largely on its reproductive performance. This performance can be altered by different factors. Crossbreeding is one of the options used by farmers to obtain better benefits. The La Margarita farm in the municipality of Viterbo, Caldas, began a program to introduce a creole breed such as the Romosinuano in its Brahman herd. Many of the cows are Brahman and others are Brahman x Romosinuano. The present work sought to compare the calving interval between these two lines. This analysis was carried out on the calving animals between 2015 and 2019. The information was taken from the Livestock software used by the farm. Statistical analysis was performed using Student's t-test. This analysis showed that there is no significant difference regarding the calving interval between these two types of animals. The study should be extended to other parameters that improve herd productivity.
