Principales novedades de la Ley 1996 de 2019 que regula el régimen de capacidad legal en personas con discapacidad mayores de edad

Abstract

This monographic work will address the main novelties of Law 1996 of 2019, which modifies the legal incapacity regime in Colombia and goes on to regulate it through a series of legal figures such as the presumption of capacity, supports, reasonable adjustments and advance directives. Initially, a section of conceptual developments will be established as a logical order to understand the different elements that have to do with the disability regime in Colombia. Then, the topic of the normative evolution that has arisen in the matter of disability will be approached; finally, the new features that the mentioned law brings, with its advantages and disadvantages, will be explained.
