dc.description.abstractThis paper aspires to show the result of the process of editing and analysis for performance purposes of the two Sonatas for solo violin by the Colombian composer Roberto Pineda Duque. The edition focusses on providing technical and musical suggestions based on violin mechanics in order to facilitate its study. The elaboration of the attached score is the result of justifications, orientations and notions presented in this paper. This publication aspires to contribute and serve as guide in the process of learning and performing the sonatas. It has been concluded that the understanding of the composer´s resources and ideas, which are highlighted in this work, can be an enriching experience for a violinist who wishes to learn the pieces.
