dc.description.abstractThe Caldas Band Program has shown over time to be a permanent source of young percussionists who want to continue their professional training in higher education -- In recent years, the lack of some skills to access the Music Education Program at the University of Caldas has demonstrated also a lack of structured learning with which to improve the academic results of the program -- This would allow the students to achieve the necessary skills to enter the University and continue the professionalization of their career -- This article aims to guide both the young percussionists of the bands of Caldas in their daily studies and the percussion teachers and conductors in their teaching work, the main interest being to acquire an integral formation that allows the students to be accepted in institutions of higher education
