dc.description.abstractThis paper collects in a accurate way what is Act 1116 (2006) or bankruptcy Law in Colombia and the repercussions that this Act has over the companies that appeal to this. Secondly, the paper shows the trends of de companies that use this act to take advantage and stay on the market and some Colombian statistics. The success of the companies after a reorganization is closely related to financial structure, financial skills of leaders, corporate governance and competitive skills of the company. These factors were detailed reviewed.
