dc.description.abstractIn this article an ethnographic analysis is made about the impact of the ethno-educational policy on the Embera Dobida people located in the department of Chocó, Colombia, approached from the reflection on the ethnoeducation and the conception of the own education for the indigenous peoples, as an instrument of recognition, self-determination and ethnic and cultural survival -- Also, a series of deficiencies and failures are established in the ethno-educational model that ends up limiting the right of indigenous peoples to build their own development
