This article is the result of the analysis of the effects of collective bargaining in communities and territories because of the strengthening of social dialogue in the banana sector of the Urabá Antioqueño region. For this, it begins with an approach to the historical context of collective labor relations in the region. Subsequently, through a theoretical approach, in the key to public policies, the conceptual understanding of the processes of institutionalization of permanent social dialogue in the sector is investigated. Finally, the findings obtained through a case study of the different actors (Unions, businessmen and the community) that intervene in the construction of labor governance are presented.
