dc.description.abstractTo identify human resources professionals' perceptions about the gender equity concept and how such perceptions impact the decision-making in selection processes. Method: Qualitative research focus. The method used was the speech analysis with a critical approach, allowing us, through semi-structured interviews, to get an understanding of the phenomenon studied. Research ques-tion: The problem statement was summarized with the following research question: ¿What are the perceptions of some human resources professionals around gender equity; and what impact do these perceptions have in making decisions in the selection processes? Results: This investigation intended to create awareness in organizations, senior management and human resources profes-sionals of the importance of including the gender equity as a key guiding principle in the selection processes, as well as to discover the coherence between what is said and what is really done around about gender equity.
