dc.description.abstractIn this research work, a comparison was made between discrimination by sexes in the labor market evaluated in the period of Juan Manuel Santos' government, making a comparison between the city of Medellín and the other metropolitan areas, making a comprehensive literature review with the In order to collect evidence in order to justify and apply a methodology among which the information collected in the large household survey (GEIH), the Probit model, the Heckman correction model, and the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition model, were applied. As a result, evidence is obtained in favor of labor discrimination against the female sex and more pronounced in the city of Medellín.
