dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación aborda el tema de la neuroplasticidad en adultos sordos profundos para quiénes se diseñó un programa de entrenamiento constituido por 7 etapas para el desarrollo de la conciencia fonológica a nivel silábico con apoyo de un chaleco háptico representando 10 fonemas del español (d,s,n,l,r,a,e,i,o,u). En esta experimentación participaron 8 estudiantes sordos adultos profundos universitarios entre los 18 y 26 años. Se obtuvieron resultados satisfactorios en el grupo con el dispositivo A con un aumento del 42% en su desempeño en comparación a su desempeño en el pretest. Este trabajo demuestra que es posible desarrollar la conciencia silábica en estudiantes sordos adultos a través de un transductor háptico, la cual es fundamental en el desarrollo de los procesos relacionados a la comprensión lectora.
