Paul Éluard y César Vallejo: de la vanguardia a la fraternidad universal

Abstract

Paul Éluard y César Vallejo tuvieron un periodo vanguardista y luego practicaron una poesía de compromiso político donde se desarrolla el tema de la fraternidad universal. Ambos poetas estuvieron influidos por la guerra civil española y pusieron de relieve de qué manera la solidaridad puede vencer a la muerte. El artículo compara dos libros: España, aparta de mí este cáliz y Au rendez-vous Allemand, en los que tanto Éluard como Vallejo subrayan la hermandad entre los hombres.

Both Paul Éluard and César Vallejo went through an avant-garde period and went on to write politically-committed poetry where the theme of universal brotherhood was developed. Both poets were influenced by the Spanish Civil War and highlighted how solidarity can defeat death. This article compares two books: España, aparta de mí este cáliz and Au rendez-vous Allemand, in which Éluard and Vallejo respectively emphasize the theme of brotherhood among men.
