Diseño e implementación de una estructura de costos estimados y propuesta de un plan de mejoras para incrementar la rentabilidad en la empresa molinera

Abstract

This research job will describe each of the activities preformed at the company “Molino ABC” with the purpose of designing, evaluate and implement an estimated cost structure and stablish an improvement plan to increase profitability. The milling company, specifically the production of wheat flour, have certain difficulties, such as some of the manufacturing industries, to obtain a determination of estimated costs in line for the decision-making of managers, such as: management bulk inventories of wheat and the diversity of products and by-products obtained from the same raw material (wheat). In the first chapter, a brief description of the milling company and the sector is made. Additionally, an approach of the problem is made based in the indicators that are deviated from the objectives that the organization had established, such as the level of profitability at the product level. In the second chapter, the objectives of the investigation, both general and specific, were determined and in the third chapter the scope and limitations of the research were defined, which allowed describing the scope within which the project was carried out, as well the aspects that were included and the aspects that were not taken into account in this investigation. In the fourth chapter, technical, economic and social justifications were established. With them it could be defined if the project is viable as there is a similar process technique in the industry. In chapter five, the proposals for solutions to the problem posed are mention, using the engineering tools to design these solutions. In addition, the results obtained and that will be obtained when implementing the proposed solutions are described.

En el presente trabajo de investigación se presentará cada una de las actividades realizadas en la empresa “Molino ABC” con el fin de diseñar, evaluar e implementar una estructura de costos estimados y proponer un plan de mejoras para incrementar la rentabilidad. La empresa molinera, específicamente la de producción de harina de trigo, tiene ciertas dificultades como algunas de las industrias manufactureras, para obtener una determinación de costos estimados en línea para la toma de decisiones de los directivos, como son: el manejo de los inventarios a granel del trigo y la diversidad de productos y sub productos que se obtienen de la misma materia prima (trigo). En el primer capítulo, se hace una breve descripción de la empresa molinera y del sector. Adicionalmente, se hace el planteamiento del problema basándose en indicadores que se encontraban desviados de los objetivos que la organización había establecido, como es el nivel de rentabilidad a nivel de producto. En el segundo capítulo, se determinó los objetivos de la investigación, tanto general como específicos y en el tercer capítulo se definió el alcance y las limitaciones de la investigación, que permitieron describir el ámbito dentro del cual se llevó a cabo el proyecto, también los aspectos que se incluyeron y los aspectos que no fueron tomados en cuenta en esta investigación. En el cuarto capítulo, se establecieron las justificaciones técnicas, económicas y sociales. Con ellas se pudo definir si el proyecto es viable al existir una técnica de proceso similar en la industria. En el capítulo cinco, se mencionaron las propuestas de soluciones al problema planteado utilizando las herramientas de ingeniería para diseñar las soluciones. Además, se describieron los resultados que se obtuvieron y que se obtendrán al implementar las soluciones que se plantearon.
