Abstract
In this photograph one sees a panoramic view of War Memorial Park, Port of Spain. A large tree is in the foreground. The War Memorial monument stands majestic in mid-ground and historic buildings, palms and other trees are in the background. The War Memorial was placed here, 28 June 1924, in honour of Trinidad and Tobago nationals who served and died in World Wars I and II, 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. The grassy park looks like a savannah and it is noteworthy that before the Park existed this area was known as the small savannah.
