Belize, once a British colony known as British Honduras suffered a devastating hurricane (Hurricane Hattie) in 1961. Description on the back of the postcard "Monument at New Capital Site. The First Phase of the New Capital is scheduled to be completed in 1970". Postcard number 106540.
