A description on the back of the postcard reads "Poui trees in season offer bright touches of colour on many Trinidad roads. Whether blossoming in pink or yellow the result is always beautiful." These Poui trees line the Churchill–Roosevelt Highway, the main east-west highway in Trinidad and Tobago. Here one automobile, licence number HD3500, is seen overtaking a grass laden donkey cart on this single carriageway highway, while another automobile is turning into a road at left, in the vicinity of the Southern Main road. On the right, almost totally obscured by Poui tree blossoms, one can see the back of screen of the Drive-in theater, Valsayn South, later known as the Kay Donna Drive-in. Postcard number BG57.
