This photograph of the impressive monument at War Memorial Park, Port of Spain, was taken at close range to the monument. The monument was placed here in honour of Trinidad and Tobago nationals who served and died in World Wars from 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. The words inscribed on the monument, “In honour of all who served. In memory of those who fell”, can almost be read with the naked eye. The angle of the shot makes the monument appear to be piece of sculpture. The stairs look clean and angular. Statues of two soldiers and a lady in a boat, which are at the top of the monument, are clearly visible.
