dc.description.abstractThis article examines the use of lecture notes in teaching and learning, and notes some of the negative outcomes associated with its use. The use of the Internet by lecturers to share their lecture notes with students is not seen as a major success, since it is argued that many online lecture notes/courses provide very little in the may of stimulus material to promote curisoity and provoke critical thinking
