dc.description.abstractTime dependent flow of an Oldroyd liquid B in a straight circular tube is examined. An approach to describe the flow when a general pressure-gradient and general initial conditions are given, is considered. The initial conditions imposed in the present work include the initial distributions of velocity and acceleration. Some general results are derived and three applications are considered.
