An analysis is made of the method proposed by Miller, in 1962, for the application of discriminant equations in obtaining objective meteorological forecasting methods and a computational method for obtaining forecast equations adapted for use in an IRIS computer. 10 and programmed in Fortran-10-H language. An analysis on the selection of predictors applied to this technique is included and a computational method is offered for the solution of this problem.
