| dc.description.abstract | La información sobre las especies del orden Diptera presentes en el ASC, se limita
a solo 27 cayos, los cuales además, han sido inventariados con diferente esfuerzo
de muestreo y métodos de captura. Como consecuencia de ello, existe una gran
variabilidad en el número de especies registradas entre los cayos y de la
representación de las familias que las agrupan. Esta información es el resultado de la revisión de la bibliografía publicada sobre el orden, de las colecciones de insectos ubicadas en el Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática (IES) y en el Centro de Investigaciones de Ecosistemas Costeros (CIEC), así como, de los muestreos realizados en Cayo Coco con el uso de trampas Malaise, redes entomológicas, platos amarillos y
recolectas manuales.
Information on the species of the order Diptera in the ASC, is limited
only 27 keys, which have also been inventoried with different effort
sampling and methods of capture. As a result, there is a great
variability in the number of species recorded between the keys and the
representation of families that bring together them.
