Resumen
The demand and use of the floor and concrete system has been mainly due to good characteristics and constructive systems that associate steel and concrete. A slim floor composite is defined for the floor system whose beam is supported on the lower flange of the steel profile. In relation to this system, there is a great lack of studies related to the behavior of the composite joint beam-to-column. In view of this, this work sought to develop a numerical model of the composite joint beam-to-column belonging to the slim floor using the software Abaqus®. A composite joint beam-to-column investigated consists of shear steel plate and negative reinforcement of the composite slab. The following method for the development of the numerical model for its validation, including an extensive study on the effect of the constitutive models of the materials composing a composite joint as well as the steel-concrete interface. The numerical model presented a good correlation with the physical model, being validated through the relation Moment vs Rotation with experimental results available in the literature. The influence of the reinforcing ratio of the concrete slab was evaluated and the values of moment resistance and initial stiffness showed to be dependent of these parameters.
