dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work is to present some procedures for orbits of periodic points class to relate the full Nielsen-Jiang periodic point of a self map of a manifold of dimension greater than three with the cardinality of the set of periodic points of some map homotopic the first application. In this way, the theorem which we want to proof is: Wecken s Theorem for periodic points: For any self map f : X → X of a PL-manifold of dimension greater than tree and a natural number n there exists a map g : X → X homotopic to f such that #FIX(gn) = NFn(f). Great part of results studied has much technical proofs, and so this work requires skill with some classical results of algebraic topology, homotopy theory and theory of fixed points, such as approximations of functions and Hopf-construction . However, there is not needed broad theoretical knowledge. What we mean is that we almost always use same ideas in different ways.
