dc.description.abstractNanocomposite fibers with polymer matrix have many applications, such as protective clothing, filtration and artificial blood vessels. Many of these applications require that the fiber has nanometric size due to some properties, as high surface area and high aspect ratio. In this research, aligned and non-aligned nanocomposites of polyamide 6,6 with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) in formic acid solvent were produced by electrospinning, studying the influence of the process variables (as polymer concentration in the solution, electrical field and functionalization of MWNT) in the fiber morphology and diameter.
