In this article we aim at discussing the psychologist education for school activities in the state of Paraná. Our main theoretical support is Historic-Cultural Psychology. We first discuss the historical development of Psychology and its relationship with Education, and then we investigate Critical education based on the Historical-Cultural Psychology and its relation to the education of the school psychologists in the state of Paraná. For our study, we analyzed the the subject matters in undergraduate Psychology Courses in 16 Institutions of Higher Education. The data show that the education of school psychologists in the state of Paraná goes beyond the traditional curriculum and is directed by the 2004 Curricular Guidelines, with deep concern in delimiting the school psychologists' activities.
