Theory and practice relay in democratic public school analysis

Resumen
With the aim of contributing to the discussions of politics and management of education in the school system, the text presents elements for the analysis of the possibilities of experiences of the democratic public school, through the alternation of theory and practice. To that end, we report the results of researches that analyzed dissertations, theses and articles published in periodicals about the democratic management theme. We also identified challenges for the area, searching for new conceptual horizons to understand the complexity of school educational management and, at last, we explore the concepts of politics and democracy through authors that allow us to rethink the relations between theory and practice present in the research commonly published in the area.
