Women have occupied an increasingly prominent position in the contemporary society within active participation in the labor market. The achievements of this professional space by women are fruits of an old and still ongoing struggle. From this finding and realizing that the woman's role is positioned at the border between the social and the biological, we realize that the workers' health-disease process may be affected by serious implications, because they have not found the required support to fulfill their professional duties considering their biological differences. Thus, this paper aims to reflect on the process of woman's achievements in relation to the labor market and its implications for the health-disease process and gender issues.
