The recent transformations of capitalism's productive structures brought new ideological and political aspects to it's societal reproduction process in this context the neoliberal reforms of education arise and bring consequences for the work performed by the professionals involved, among them, the teachers of basic education. The government of Sao Paulo incorporates this ideology and will adopt various practices that degrade public education and make precarious teaching work on behalf of an educational project that is in agreement with the dictates of hegemonic logic. This picture has consequences for the material reproduction of the teachers and even to the health of workers to be targeted, as we search to evidence from the State school teachers in the city of Ourinhos-SP.
